U’nek Clarke, LICSW, LCSW-C, PMH-C, is Lead Perinatal Behavioral Health Specialist for the Clark Parent & Child Network Prenatal-Neonatal Pillar. She joined the team as a Perinatal Behavioral Health Specialist in June 2021. U’nek will provide services to women during pregnancy and after childbirth under the auspices of the DC Mother-Baby Wellness Initiative. She has a master’s degree in Social Work from Howard University and is certified in Infant and Early Childhood Mental Heath and Child-Parent Psychotherapy.
Prior to joining the Developing Brain Institute, U’nek served as a Clinical Social
Worker with the D.C. Department of Behavioral Health Parent Infant Early Childhood
Enhancement Program. She has a strong background in assessing and treating trauma,
attachment, bonding and other behavioral health concerns. She has a passion for maternal
health and is looking forward to providing critical clinical services to improve
maternal mental health outcomes and children’s overall health.
