Stephanie Araki, BS

Project Associate

Stephanie Araki, BS, joined the Developing Brain Institute (DBI) at Children’s National as a Project Associate in December 2022. Stephanie supports the team’s numerous MRI-based studies through the acquisition, organization and analyses of fetal, preterm and neonatal MRI data.

Prior to joining DBI, Stephanie obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Data Science from the University of Notre Dame. She previously conducted research at the University of Colorado where she worked on improving text mining of biomedical literature and elucidating how resistance to cisplatin-based chemotherapy occurs in patients diagnosed with bladder cancer. Stephanie’s goal is to apply her experiences in laboratory and computational-based research to further DBI’s mission of developing advanced MRI techniques for earlier identification of impaired brain growth in babies.
