Patricia Saulino, RN. BSN, MPA, CNS, NEA-BC, joined the Developing Brain Institute (DBI) in February 2023 as Clinical Research Nurse Program Manager. Previously, for the past two years, Patricia served as the Senior Research Coordinator for Neurocardiac Critical Care in the Prenatal Pediatrics Institute at Children’s National. She is a Critical Care nurse and Clinical Specialist with extensive experience in cardiac surgery and cardiovascular intensive care. In addition, she is Board certified as a systems-level Advanced Nurse Executive. Patricia has held senior leadership positions in the health care, research and pharmaceutical fields. She is a Research Scientist and author, with three publications related to cardiogenic shock published in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology and cited in the New England Journal of Medicine. Patricia holds a bachelor’s degree in Nursing from George Mason University, as well as a Master of Science degree from Villanova University in Public Policy. Patricia is thrilled to join DBI and support and extend its mission of improving the monitoring of high-risk pregnancies and thereby enhancing therapeutic opportunities to restore and repair fetal and newborn health.
