Michaela Holliday Bouchard, MPH, joined the Developing Brain Institute as a Data Coordinator in March 2022. Michaela received her Master of Public Health degree in Human Genetics from the University of Pittsburgh School of Public Health, where her master’s essay focused on the relationship between Huntington disease and inflammatory disorders, such as arthritis and multiple sclerosis. After completing her graduate degree, Michaela spent time as a contractor with the National Institutes of Health. As a Scientific Data Curator, she worked on variants and therapeutics related to the COVID-19 pandemic. She also spent 3 ½ years as a nanny, where her passion for children and their successful development and access to medical care really flourished. Michaela’s extensive background and hands-on experience have been critical to her understanding of the importance of data curation and coordination in research studies, especially when it comes to children.
