Kelsey Christoffel, M.D.

Fetal-neonatal neurology fellow

Kelsey Christoffel, M.D., came to the Developing Brain Institute (DBI) at Children’s National in July 2021 as a fetal-neonatal neurology fellow. In the DBI, Kelsey’s primary focus is studying the development and connectivity of the premature neonatal brain as it relates to the emerging autonomic nervous system. She also spends time at the Prenatal Pediatrics Institute seeing pregnant mothers who have a heightened risk for fetal brain anomalies, as well as in the Children’s neonatal intensive care unit caring for babies with neurologic injury and disease. Prior to joining DBI, Kelsey received her medical degree from the University of Minnesota and completed her residency training in Child Neurology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.
