Hanna Michel, BA

Clinical Research Coordinator

Hanna Michel, BA, in March 2022 joined the Developing Brain Institute (DBI) as a Clinical Research Coordinator. Prior to joining our team, Hanna graduated from Gettysburg College with a degree in Psychology, a minor in Biology and a strong interest in clinical research. Hanna spent two years after graduation as a clinical research assistant with the Maryland Psychiatric Research Center in Baltimore, Maryland. Her previous experiences have contributed to her abilities in clinical research administration; strengths in interpersonal connection with both patients and providers; and her drive to improve access to mental health care, particularly in underserved populations. While working as a coordinator for the PCORI-funded Mommy&Me study, Hanna will work closely with community partners and providers to recruit and enroll participants, collect data and help to manage the three-year study. Hanna is thrilled to be a part of the team supporting DBI’s mission, and she looks forward to helping improve fetal, newborn and maternal mental health outcomes.
